Nando's Mother

And So this is the woman who gave birth to this African Prince, she is such a beauty!
Now that Nando has been removed from our screens, who will  be our eye candy? Who has been your eye candy so far on your T.V screens?

Why Zimbabwe Feels They Are Still In The Chase

Zimbabwe’s two representatives in this year’s season of Big Brother Africa (BBA) may have been booted out of the game one after the other, but Zimbabwe is still well represented in the House.

Though both Pokello Nare and Hakeem Mandaza were evicted from the game earlier this month, their love interests Cleo (Zambia) and Elikem (Ghana) are playing the game on their behalf. On Saturday during her diary session, Cleo said to Big Brother: “Biggie, right now I am representing my daughter, mum and Hakeem.”

Elikem on the other hand always shouts that he loves Pokello stating that he misses her and is playing the game for her. When she was evicted, Pokello made it clear to Elikem that she would garner support for him. Last week, she kept her promise as she together with her Facebook team spent the better part of the week garnering people to vote for the tailor.

Over the years, Zimbabweans have rarely followed the BBA show after their representatives were evicted, but this year, they have not stopped watching because of the genuine relationships created. On Sunday, whilst the Sadc region voted to save nominated Zambian housemate Sulu, Zimbabwe voted to save their in-law, Elikem, who was also up for eviction.

Elikem and Sulu both had six popularity votes. The tie-breaking system was used and Sulu was evicted. Sunday’s Eviction show marked the end of the road for Kenya as their last representative, Annabel, was evicted from the game. Fortunately for Elikem, chances are high he will not be up for eviction from the House this week because he is the Head of House. As Head of House, he has the power to save and replace any nominated housemate meaning he can save himself if he is nominated.

The chase for the $300 000 is heating up in the Big Brother Africa house with the latest development being the disqualification of Tanzanian housemate, Nando. Nando was disqualified for being caught sleeping with scissors under his bed, carrying a knife to the Channel O Party and for instigating a fight with Elikem. The heated face-off which was instigated by Nando saw the two housemates exchanging fiery words. Nando made threats against Elikem’s life, saying: “I feel like stabbing him. A nigga like that deserves to die”.

Nando was fast becoming a threat to most housemates as they were now living in fear. For the better part of his stay in the game, Nando seemed troubled, at one time causing a scene when he accused Ghanaian housemate Selly for infecting him with an sexually transmitted infection.

Nando is to be blamed for his disqualification because Big Brother always made it clear to housemates that instigation and provocation was a violation of the Big Brother rules.

“Any housemate who becomes physically violent will be removed from the House immediately. Violence can refer to self-inflicted violence, or violence towards another. Violence includes provocation, goading, bullying and victimisation,” said Biggie when he was disqualifying Nando.

This season Big Brother has imposed a Three Strike Rule, which will be applicable to housemates who commit serious infringements. For this fight Elikem was served with his first Strike.

Nine housemates O’neal (Botswana), Bimp (Ethiopia), Dillish (Nambia), Angelo (South Africa), Feza (Tanzania), Melvin (Nigeria), Beverly (Nigeria) Cleo, and Elikem are left in The Chase.

Biggie Warns Housemates About Conspiracy

Yesterday during housemates’ Diary Sessions Big Brother sounded a strong warning to each of the Chasemates regarding the behavior of some of the housemates in as far as influencing nominations in the house is concerned and warned that there would be serious consequences. “This is a stern warning and reminder that conspiracy is strictly prohibited,” Big Brother said.

Issues about conspiracy in the house have come up a lot in the past days, and the most recent complaint was made by South Africa’s Angelo during his Nomination Session yesterday. “Feza’s underhanded, conniving and a huge gossip that makes other people uncomfortable,” he said.

Basing on what most of the housemates were saying, Feza’s go to move is sowing division within the unit, resulting in bad vibes and eyebrow raising Nominations. “Feza always latches on to whoever is the Head of House in order to influence them. She has done it with others before me and did it with me as soon as she heard I’m Head of House,” Elikem said.

Among all the housemates, which specific ones do you think have been getting ahead by conspiring and forming alliances in the Big Brother house?

Bimp, Feza and Oneal are up for possible eviction this week. Please vote for your favourite housemate to keep them in the game.

Check Out Tanzania’s Feza Chilling With Rick Ross!

I couldn’t believe it when I came across a picture from a while back of Tanzania’s Big Brother Africa representative Feza chilling with Rick Ross! I was stunned actually. Who knew the lass was actually something of a big deal?

Any way, check out the picture of her chilling with Ricky Ross before his performance in Tanzania:
And speaking of the lass, it’s about that time when Kenyans stand with Tanzania in solidarity and vote to keep Feza in the Big Brother house but that’s another story for another day!

Africa Reacts As Oneaza Go Up

Mondays are not always the best days in the Chase as a housemate expects their names to come up especially if they have issues with their fellow housemates.
Oneal and Feza were spot on yesterday when they said during their Diaries that they expected their names to come up. Even though they somewhat expected it, Oneal’s jaw almost hit the floor when Biggie called out his name.
Just like last week, this week also has three people on the chop list, Oneazas are joined by former HOH Bimp who was swapped by Elikem after the latter had to save himself.
At least ‘one’ housemate will be evicted this week. Surprisingly, our fellow Chase addicts have used the Facebook platform to express their desire of kicking out the Oneaza couple, they (Fans) have various reasons not limited to the couple conspiring, being unreal and gossiping. One could be tempted to believe that Bimp could have better chances of survival while the couple could be skating on thin ice.
Check out the Fans’ reactions after Oneaza went up this week…

Me I thought Elikem must replace someone who is very strong fans invulnerable for eviction like Angelo in fact to get Oneil and Feza evicted sunday. But he prefer replace Bimp. I’m not sure couple Oneil and Feza will go. One of them will survive from eviction. Unless Big Brother change the way used to process for eviction

Jackie Appiah Makes Guest Appearance To The Big Brother Africa House

The popular reality television show is always filled with tension and endless controversy. From initial inceptions that was focused more on just the ability of housemates to live in a house together and maintain a cordial and harmonious interaction for a 3 month period, things have unfortunately escalated and almost all focused about intimate relationships.
There’s so much tension in the “Big Brother Africa – The Chase” house right now as the housemates numbers are dwindling and paranoia has set in. To add to their unease, the fake Emerald housemates aren’t making it any better. And, Big Brother found another way to increase the temperature, as this week the housemates’ task involves movies and acting.
So, to assist the housemates on their Big Brother Ghandour Film Festival task, African movie stars and AfricaMagic Viewers Choice Awards 2013 winners Jackie Appiah and Akin Omotoso came into the house as special guest judges.

Sulu: “Lk4 Was My Favourite”

It seems like there are some things that are really hard for the housemates to put out, so they just decide to keep them to only themselves. However yesterday Sulu shared some of these things with the Zimbabwean hunk JJ.
The pair had a one on one conversation in the Ruby house garden where the Zambian logistics manager revealed to JJ that among all the housemates who participated in this season of Big Brother Africa, his favourite housemate was Ugandan hunk Lk4.
He added that Lk4 had a very nice accent and all the girls in the Ruby house  felt him, he even went ahead to narrate to JJ what happened in the first week when three girls gave Lk4 their avatars. Actually it was Nigeria’s beverly, Ghana’s Selly and South Africa’s Koketso who gave their avatars to the sexy Ugandan dude.
In his words, Sulu further said that most housemates got jealous of Lk4 following this avatar incident. Among all the three girls that gave Lk4 avatars, he gave his avatar to one of them which really annoyed the rest.
As time passed, the girls felt like he was trying to mess up  with their hearts so they nominated him and threw him out with his girl as soon as possible.
It’s though pleasing to know that housemates really appreciate their fellows though they fail to let them know.
Annabel, Elikem and Sulu are up for possible eviction this week. Please vote for your favourite housemate to keep them in the Game.

Emeralds On Their Way Out!

They came, they conquered, mission accomplished and thus they’ve to bid farewell to Biggie’s house!
The six fake Emeralds including Kenya’s Alusa, South Africa’s Busi, Zambia’s Eveva, Kenya’s Jazz, Zimbabwe’s JJand Uganda’s Sophie have unfortunately held their last Diary Sessions today because they will be exiting the Big Brother house in the next few days.
We may not collectively agree that they have fully accomplished their mission of shaking things up in ‘The Chase’ but hey, they’ve to a greater extent without a doubt ‘displaced’ some housemates, those that were all over the place before they (fakes) came in. Or how do you explain the ‘silence’ and ‘absence’ of the likes of Oneal? One has to strain a little bit to spot the opinionated Tswana fellow.
Meanwhile, housemates likes Annabel seem to have a lot of questions about the Emeralds, it seems it would take so much effort to convince the Kenyan student though there’s still a sense of belief in her that the Emerald house really existed.
However, the Emeralds have had a good run and did their best. Interestingly, some of them like Sophie have revealed to Biggie that they would like to be part of next year’s edition of the reality show because they have had a lot of fun in ‘The Chase’.
Do you think the Emeralds fully accomplished their mission?

Angelo gets An Eveva Massage

The sexy former Zambian massage therapist and salon owner has already proven to be the new sexy one in the house. Today in the morning, she offered Angelo with one of the sexiest massages that have been offered in the house so far.
She actually made meal out of the whole massage scenario, moaning her way through it and alternating between kneading Angelo’s back and gyrating seductively to the sounds blasting over the speakers. As Kenya’s Alusa passed by and watched what was going on, he told the pair “There’s massage and then there’s foreplay you guys.”
One wonders where the sexy Nigerian ‘Beverly’ was as her man was being given the sexy massage. She was upstairs in the bedroom finishing up her stuff . But you can’t rule out Eveva when it comes to looks, she is also one nice looking lass. But that being said, some of the girls who have already got themselves lovers in the house might not take too it lightly when she gets like this with their men especially if she does it in their presence.
Annabel, Elikem and Sulu are up for possible eviction this week. Please vote for your favourite housemate to keep them in the Game.

Pokello to change people’s perceptions about my life

Following the negative publicity as the result of her leaked sex tape, Pokello Nare said she’s going to use the exposure she gained while in the house to promote a more positive image of herself.
The 27-year-old shoe shop owner from Zimbabwe was evicted alongside Sierra Leone’s Michael Bassey after eight weeks in the competition.
This means that only Tanzania, Nigeria and Zambia still have their pairs intact while Botswana, Kenya, Ethiopia, Namibia, Ghana and South Africa still have one contestant each in the running for the $300000 (R2.9m) cash prize.
Nare became a sensation on the social networks throughout Africa after her sex tape with musician-boyfriend, Desmond Chimede hit the net a few days after the first live broadcast of the show.
“I entered the competition because I wanted to change people’s perceptions about my life and what I actually stand for,” she said. “I also entered because I wanted to advocate against women abuse and I spoke about that from my own experiences and wanted to motivate women to speak out.”
There’s clearly no denying that the exposure that comes with the show and its impact on their career is every contestant’s biggest catch, and so is Bassey’s.
“The competition has really helped me in that it has exposed me to so many people and nothing could get better than this.”

New Head of House: Sulu and Bimp

After a simple Head of House Task that was given by Big Brother to both the Ruby house and the Diamond house this afternoon, the Zambian businessman Sulu and Ethiopia’s Bimp emerged as the winners in the Ruby and the Diamond houses respectively.
The Head of House Task was all about housemates aiming balls at the centre of a board and the housemate whose ball was next to the centre would emerge as  winners.
And for the first time Sulu and Bimp have become the next Head of House for next week. And in your opinion, Do you think Bimp and Sulu will execute their duties properly come next week?
Annabel, Cleo, Natasha, Pokello, Melvin and Selly are up for possible eviction this week. Please vote for your favourite housemate to keep them in the game.

Pawns Gone Out Of The Chase

If there is one infamous Big Brother phrase which might edge out “expect the unexpected,” it’s “sometimes, the pawn goes home.”
As every fan knows, the golden rules of the Big Brother game are: Don’t get nominated. Don’t get evicted. Win the Head Of House and Don’t get swapped.
But still after one gets into that sweet chair of HOH, they have to face that emotional moment when they have to reveal to fellow Housemates their save and replace decision. But they normally get away with such after all it’s a game and everybody knows that.
With seven weeks off the chase, six evictions have been witnessed and with two houses, 12 save and replace decisions have been made. This implies that 12 heads have been saved replacing a similar number of heads in their steads as pawns.
Fortunately some pawns have managed to survive and the others sent home. Let’s look at those pawns who have not managed to survive the evictions.
South Africa’s Koketso was the first pawn to get evicted during the second week after she was swapped by Selly at the expense of Angola’s Biguesas, but unfortunately he too is now out!
Week three followed Angola’s Neyll being the second pawn to leave the house still courtesy of Selly’s save and replace decision. The Ghanaian sexy this time decided to save Oneal and put Neyll’s head in his seat. She is one HOH who has managed so far to send two housemates home in just 14 days.
Botswana’s Motamma was the third one to leave the chase in week four after being replaced by Annabel as she saved her head off the block. Motamma was followed by Namibia’s bubbly Maria exiting the Chase as the fourth pawn after she got swapped by Nando as he saved his head too.
The recent pawn seen packing back home is Zimbabwe’s Hakeem who exited the Big Brother doors in week six. Hakeem was replaced by Melvin for possible eviction as he saved Ghana’s Selly. This has so far been the emotional swap as Melvin got haunted by Hakeem’s eviction for some good hours. In his opinion,Melvin thought that Hakeem was to be saved by Africa as it had occurred twice….But little did he know that Africa’s tastes and preferences change .
It’s therefore not advisable to put someone you still want in the house as a pawn because the housemates have a different view of themselves and so does Africa…. It’s at this point I have to ask;  How safe are this week’s pawns?
Among all the evicted pawns, who would you want back into the house?

They Have Blood On Their Hands

“Nations were united,Friends will be divided” is exactly what we are beginning to observe in the Big Brother House.
Judging from the way Nominations, save and replace decisions, and evictions progress, ‘at this particular juncture’ it’s clear that it’s now every man for himself in The Chase.
A few people(If not none), care about their fellows in this battle for the $US300,000 grand prize. Friends turn into foes when nominations  and swaps come up and soon we’ll see countrymates trying to get each out.
From the past happenings a lot has been observed but what has caught up our eyes are the save an d replace decisions. Talking about this,we can’t avoid talking about those lucky Heads of the Households who have played a part in their fellows’ evictions.
In the Big Brother game, there is no hardest part for the HOH like putting someone up for eviction and they survive. Below are the HOHs who have managed to get other housemates evicted courtesy of their save and replace decisions. And if the HOHs were assassins, their hands would be filled with blood.
Selly was the first one and has been the luckiest of all the HOHs. During his era,the Ghanaian sexy who was Ruby’s HOH for two consecutive times managed to swap South Africa’s Koketso and Angola’s Neyll and they both got evicted in the second and third week respectively.
Week four featured Annabel as the Diamond HOH and she was also lucky enough as she saved her head and replaced it with  Motamma’s who got booted out that very Sunday.
If it was killing,Tanzania’s Nando would also have had blood all over his hands as he got Namibia’s Maria out of the chase. Nando replaced himself with Maria for possible eviction who Africa showed the BBA exit doors.
The recent one we have witnessed and still having is Nigeria’s haunted Melvin. He’s haunted in the way that he has never settled down with his guilt after he swapped Zimbabwe’s Hakeem who was ousted last Sunday. Unlike the rest of the HOHs who quickly recovered from the evictions, Melvin  took long and if not mistaken, he’s still regretting his decision.
Well, at this point of the game, ‘everyone’s gotta do what everyone’s gotta do’ to remain the last man standing. Whether the swap was done intentionally or accidentally,it was all swapping and if it was killing, we would say that the above five have blood on their hands.
Would you love to see the swapped Housemates surviving evictions or it’s better they leave?

‘Selly Just Wants Relationships’ – Oneal

After his ‘save and replace’ decision in the Diary room on Monday, Ruby HOH Oneal shared with Biggie yesterday why he took the decision to save Elikem and replaced him with Selly. “It was purely because I lost time with Selly when she moved to the Diamond house and I don’t feel remorseful about my decision. Selly just wants relationships and not the game,” he explained.
Oneal seems to have a game plan where he wants himself including four others in the finals. Elikem also told Biggie that Oneal sees him and three ‘others’ in the top five and such a feeling made him believe that Oneal could have saved him from the chopping block.
Interestingly, Selly saved Oneal a few weeks ago when he was up against the likes of Neyll, Biguesas among others. Oneal seems to trust the men more than the women because he thinks ladies are always taken up by relationships citing an example of Selly always being on the move from the Ruby house to meet with Diamond’s Nando and then back to the Ruby house to be with Sulu.
Talk of not returning a favour when it’s most needed!

Sulu And Selly Disagree

The sexy Ghanaian lass and the Zambian taxi owner had a conversation that ended up into a disagreement in the wee hours of the morning. Despite the fact that Sulu has tried to push Selly into a romantic relationship with him, she has always turned his little plans down, the Ghanaian actress has repeatedly told him that she is not at any one time ready to have a relationship with him.
Very early today, the Ruby pair had a disagreement after the talkative Zambian demanded an explanation from the actress about her relationship with the young Tanzanian.
In her reply, Selly started off by saying that, “If at all I had told you that there is someone I liked and wanted to start a romantic relationship with, honestly how would you have taken it?”, Selly asked Sulu. He replied by saying that he would have accepted it, however Selly told him that he was telling a lie.
“You know that is not true at all. I actually respected you when i expressed whatever I was feeling for Nando. But instead you made me look so bad when you went ahead and told every one that I broke your heart, yet you very well knew that me and you were not in a relationship”, she further explained.
When the conversation got bitter, Selly got annoyed and decided to move away saying that she was getting more pissed by the fact that Sulu was not understanding whatever she was trying to explain to him.
Looking forward to the day when the drama between these two will end.
Annabel, Cleo, Natasha, Pokello, Melvin and Selly are up for possible eviction this week. Please vote for your favourite housemate to keep them in the game.

Lugudde, Koketso BBA party

Ever since Charlie “Denzel” Mwiyeretsi and Isaac Lugudde aka LK4 were booted out of the Big Brother Africa house, there have been mixed feelings whether they deserve a welcome party, like their predecessors.
Denzel and LK4 made records as the first Ugandan contestants to spend the least time in the house – a week and fortnight respectively.
In fact when Super FM morning show decided to ask its listeners whether the duo deserved a party, there was this hilarious caller who compared the move to “giving your daughter away for marriage and after a month she returns that she couldn’t handle and your next move is to call service providers to throw her a feast.”
And several days after they were evicted, it seemed like it wouldn’t happen. First, it was supposed to happen at Venom last week, but called off at the eleventh hour. However, as a tradition, every evictee is thrown a welcome party. Last Thursday, MultiChoice honoured the tradition and hosted the pair at Club Rouge.
There was nothing special to decorating the club –with the usual DStv banners planted around the club. Like at the previous Big Brother parties, the drinks were on house. And since revellers would do anything to get their names on guest list to such events, the bouncers were super strict on who gets in.
Even yours truly was given a hard time trying to get his cameraman in. But with a mere call, he managed to get him in. With the drinks flowing, Denzel was the first to make an appearance, but everyone was more eager to see LK4 because he had invited his South African “girlfriend” Koketso for the party.
Kokesto was axed with LK4 on the same Sunday. The pair has been busy professing their love for each other on social media. And they showed up hand in hand, sharing hugs with their fans. Unlike other parties where the evictees stay until late, Denzel was in rush to leave because he had an “early morning assignment and deal to chase.”
The lovie-dovie couple also only stayed for a while because: “We had to be at the Kwivuga sessions at GatoMato, then my girl is flying back very early in the morning and she can’t go without us having some quality time.”
Despite their early departure, revellers remained entertained. Former Big Brother housemate Klye thrilled the fans with a performance. Yes, those of you who are shocked, he is a musician and with the right honing, he will be a star.
However, the highlight performance of the night came from rapper Navio who sent revellers wild – before the rest of the evening was left to the brown bottles and the dance flow.

Task: Wedding Bakers

Cake masters are what the Housemates must become for this week’s Task.

After having already become pseudo car manufactures and dressmakers; the Housemates have to now bake a cake fit for a show stopping Big Brother wedding. The bride is not allowed to take part in the baking of the cake she may only give suggestions to the rest of the Housemates about what she wants. The groom and his groomsmen have to help the ladies with the baking and he must also share his own ideas on how to give the cake a masculine edge.

In the Diamond House the Chasemates put on a united front and quickly got down to work together. But in the Ruby House the Housemates were left confused as to the exact role that the groom must play in this Task and a little spat ensued among them which ended in the Head of House storming off. “I have done my part as the Head of House. I have tried to explain as I understand. Whatever happens, happens,” Elikem chirped as he walked out of the room. Uh-oh the Rubies better get it together soon or they might just end up losing their 100% Wager like the Diamonds.

Oneal Kisses Feza

This particular Task has got people going all emotional about the prospect of getting married, especially when the person proposing is already your partner. It all seemed too real and some wished that it was.
Oneal also went on his knees as he had a speech and a half for Feza, telling her that life was miserable for him before he met her. A blushing Feza could not help but smile at the man in front of her, professing his undying love and wanting a future for them both.
The Housemates stood by cheering the two on with song and dance like they would do in the real world. This Task is proving too real for the Housemates, especially the couples who had decided to call it quits. Now all the feelings they had have flooded back and people will have to reconsider their decisions.
Natasha was very emotional in her Diary Session as she praised Oneal for his heartfelt proposal to the girl of his dreams. She even wished the happy couple well, forgetting that this was all for their Wager. None of it is real Natasha.
Pokello, Cleo, Hakeem, Fatima, Angelo, Nando and Bimp are up for possible eviction this week. Please vote for your favorite housemate to keep them in the game.
